We need a workshop-based HGV Technician for our site in Tamworth, Staffordshire. Our company offers comprehensive vehicle maintenance services for small vans, HGV traction, and trailers, with pre-MOT test facilities and a 24-hour emergency breakdown and repair service.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week, with flexible starting times at 07:00 or 08:00. After that, it will need to cover the 9.5 daily hours.
Note: Weekends are available; working these is optional but not contractual.
Basic Salary: £20 per hour (approximately £49,400 per year) with overtime available, paid at time and a half.

Training Opportunities: Manufacturer training for BPW, SAF, JOST, Krone, and Valx; training for tail lifts, LOLER, and product training.
This is a full-time, on-site position for an HGV Technician in Tamworth. The HGV Technician will perform maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles, conduct diagnostic tests, identify faults, and conduct vehicle inspections. Additionally, the HGV Technician will ensure compliance with safety and legal regulations related to HGVs.
Qualifications:
1. Mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills with DD Trailers (training will be provided).
2. Experience as an HGV Technician, handling maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles.
3. Knowledge of safety and legal regulations related to HGVs.
4. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
5. Strong communication skills.
6. Familiarity with computerised diagnostic equipment.
7. Relevant vocational qualifications or certifications.
