Student Support Officer – Sixth Form - Lymm High School
We are looking to appoint a dedicated, caring and professional Student Support Officer who will work within a wider sixth form team to provide the academic and pastoral support necessary to ensure all our post-16 students are happy and successful in their studies.
Responsibilities
* Experience of working with young people
* An interest in learning as well as developing students as young adults
* An understanding of students’ needs and disciplines
* Knowledge of behaviour management and mentoring strategies
* Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with all members of the school community
* Ability to work in partnership with parents and carers to discuss student progress, welfare and behaviour
* Willingness to support the sixth form’s office hours programme for students failing to complete work set
* Willingness and ability to promote the highest expectations of all students
