Asmall Hall is located on Asmall Lane on the outskirts of Ormskirk. It is a beautiful 17th Century Manor House, set in acres of landscaped gardens and woodland, giving the feeling of tranquility and peacefulness. Only 5 minutes from Ormskirk town centre and 15 minutes from Southport.
Since the change of ownership, late 2016, Asmall Hall is in the process of being fully refurbished, providing a refreshing and revitalised environment for our residents and employees. Our dedicated team of care professionals have been focusing on bringing the level of care up to the high standards expected of the Group.
The Role
At Asmall Hall, we are now searching for a new Chef who will produce nutritious and well-balanced meals that meet our high standards and our resident’s satisfaction.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Working alongside the Wellbeing Coordinator to provide food for the various events that take place throughout the group
Providing dietary requirements to meet the needs of our residents
The presentation of the food served is to a high standard including the use of moulds for those on soft diets
Monitoring and maintaining consistent food standards during all stages of production and service
Adhering to the HACCP procedure according to Food Safety Management documentation
Maintaining the correct use of the company’s regulatory framework and cleaning procedures
Ensuring quality control and hygiene systems are achieved
Purchasing all food and related products using company nominated suppliers (when required)
Ensuring minimum waste

For this role you must have:
Good leadership skills

Strong time management skills
Qualifications & Experience
You must hold a relevant NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in catering
Experience within the care sector is essential
Experience of the nutritional needs of our elderly residents ie: fortified dietary requirements

*Pay will be determined on age, experience and qualifications. Your hourly rate will be reviewed again on the successful completion of your 6 month probationary period.
