Capital Markets & Equity Private Placements
Our Capital Markets Group operates within the Corporate Finance business and is one of the firm’s fastest growing practices. Within Capital Markets, Equity Private Placements is a product area in which Houlihan Lokey has a best-in-class track record and market reputation globally.
Following new senior hires in EMEA, the Equity Private Placements team is experiencing rapid growth. We advise some of the most ambitious private companies on the origination and structuring of private equity capital, including primary & secondary fundraisings, hybrid and structured equity. We operate across multiple EMEA geographies, in a range of industries supporting both high-growth disruptors and established market leaders. To meet the growing demand for our expertise and services, we are seeking to hire ambitious people who want to work on the frontier of a fast-evolving space in the financial landscape.
Scope
As a Summer Financial Analyst in our Equity Private Placements team, you will work alongside experienced professionals dedicated to providing innovative capital solutions for businesses in need of strategic growth funding. You will gain valuable exposure into how capital is structured and raised.
Your role will be to support the team in the execution of transactions, raising capital across various equity and equity-linked financing types, applicable across diverse situations including growth capital, direct minority secondary share sale, acquisition financing and recapitalizations for high-growth companies.
In this role, you will perform market research, assist in preparing client-ready presentations, financial models and transaction materials, coordinating communications with clients and investors, gaining live deal insights into what investment banking and the world of minority equity financing entails.

Requirements/Qualifications
1. Must be in your penultimate year of study at a highly regarded university – completing your final university assessments in Spring or Summer 2026
2. Some knowledge/understanding of Private Capital Markets or Equity Capital Markets
3. A high-level understanding of valuation methodologies and financial modelling (e.g. LBO or DCF models)
4. Strong financial knowledge and understanding of Excel and PowerPoint
5. Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
