The Role
We are seeking a BMS Service Technician to join our ACT team to assist with Building Automation projects.
Your purpose will be to respond to Airmaster's customers’ requirements as directed, for the Automation and Controls business, and provide on and off-site engineering, technical support, maintenance, to deliver projects and repairs as required, and also provide training to apprentices.
With a background in HVAC, along with strong BMS installation, commissioning and maintenance experience, you will be required to service, fault find, repair and maintain BMS and lighting installations. Product knowledge and experience with Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric or Distech is highly advantageous.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
* Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a pleasant phone manner
* Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Excel and office-based databases
* Be willing to undergo a national police background check
* Experience with controls - DDC and BMS and a strong knowledge of building mechanical services
* Ability to read wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, standards and plant operating instructions
* Deliver BMS engineering on time and within budget for controls installation and projects and to meet the expectation of the client
* Support operatives in building strong client relationships based on trust and respect
* Provide higher level technical advice and support to Technicians and Apprentices, including high-level troubleshooting on project sites, to other team members
* Provide sales support and develop opportunities for further work on customers sites
* Ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment
* Reliable, self-motivated and well presented
* Strong commitment to safe work practices is essential
