Job Summary
This role is remote with requirements to attend adhoc meetings at our offices in both Harlow and Leeds. UK and European travel will also be required for customer visits.
The main objective is to generate leads, maintain and grow relationships, and meet sales targets, exceeding wherever possible. Your main customer base will be Global Original Equipment Manufacturers headquartered in EMEA with production locations around the world.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
1. Present, promote and sell products using exceptional sales techniques to existing and prospective new customers.
2. The main product groups would be vehicle lighting, mirrors, and reverse alarms.
3. Successfully generate leads, meeting and exceeding sales targets.
4. Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships, ensuring customer scorecards are performing well and improving where necessary.
5. Continually seek new business opportunities in underserved market segments and product groups.
6. Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction by working closely with the customer service teams.
7. Analyze the territory/market’s potential and track sales, taking appropriate action when required and taking ownership of pricing and margin.
8. Create reports as and when required on a variety of subjects including competitor activity, customer needs, and new product potential.
9. Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver new projects on time with accurate forecasts and proactive communication with customers.
Essential Requirements
1. Commercial experience in the automotive sector.
2. Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering or Business).
3. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Sales.
4. Previous experience in the on-road truck and/or trailer business would be an asset.
5. Possesses the innate qualities of a successful salesperson and has a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, willing to go the extra mile.
6. Fluency in English.
7. Has a valid UK driving licence.
8. Excellent communication and computer skills, with the ability to get their message across in the right way, changing their approach when required.
9. Highly organized and methodical, ensuring administrative tasks are completed within tight deadlines.
