Job Description
The successful candidate will be required to carry out systems/test engineering activities on a range of sub system components. The current focus is provision of systems engineering support to the delivery of 777X Fuel Pump qualification test programme and will cover environmental testing and qualification report compilation.
The successful candidate will be required to be flexible with work working requirements made up of 2-3 days a week onsite at either KDC customer Titchfield or KDC office Hurn, with the remainder being remote based. Depending on test program requirements, occasional full time support maybe required on site at Eaton Titchfield.
Essential Skills
As a Systems Engineer your key responsibilities will include:
* Integration and verification activities
* Preparation of technical specifications and other project documentation
* Writing system qualification test procedures
* Gathering evidence to support system qualification
* Liaison with internal and external specialist engineers (for example; Safety, ILS, Reliability Performance and Design)
* Requirements capture, derivation and validation
* Allocation of requirements to sub-systems and components
* System and sub system architecture definition and analysis
* System interface definition and control
Essential skills and experience
* Suitable technical qualifications with relevant experience
* 5 Years in an aerospace systems engineering environment.
* Experience with the testing and Qualification of aerospace systems
* Sound knowledge of the systems engineering process and lifecycle
* Good verbal and written standards.
Essential Personal Qualities:
* You will be an accomplished aerospace systems engineer with an organised structured approach to problem solving and task completion. Capable of working on your own or within a team of engineers, you be expected to complete your allocated work on time and within budget. You will be experienced; enthusiastic; accountable and reliable.
Advantageous Skills
* Experience of working with Boeing, Cobham and Airbus.
* Previous experience of working on air to air refuelling systems
* 5 years + working in an aerospace systems engineering environment
* Experience of aircraft fuel systems / electro-mechanical systems / avionics and power supplies / mechanical systems
