With a strong focus on delivering top-tier food products to the UK market, you’ll play a key role in supporting our commitment to excellence. Role Overview: They are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer with a strong electrical bias to ensure the smooth running of their food manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of electrical systems Key Responsibilities: Carry out electrical maintenance on food production machinery Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults on control panels, PLC systems, motors, and other electrical equipment. Install, upgrade, and commission electrical systems and machinery to support our manufacturing operations. Ensure compliance with UK electrical safety standards, food industry regulations, and health & safety protocols. Support the implementation of automation systems, energy-saving initiatives, and continuous improvement projects. Collaborate with production teams to reduce downtime and improve the overall efficiency of food production. Keep accurate records of electrical work carried out, inspections, and any necessary testing. Participate in root cause analysis and offer solutions to prevent future issues and enhance system reliability. Requirements: Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer within a UK food manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong understanding of food production machinery, including conveyors, mixers, and packaging lines. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, control panels, and fault-finding. City & Guilds Level 3 or higher in electrical engineering. Ideally multi-skilled A solid understanding of food industry standards such as HACCP, BRC, and UK health & safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
