Mission –
Reporting to the SHEQ & BPI Manager, ensure that all who work at the Clevedon Product Company, can carry out their roles safely and with minimum adverse impact on the environment. To provide direction and leadership to the Clevedon site management team on SHE related matters. In so doing, ensure all compliance, legislative, safety and environmental responsibilities are adhered to.
Main Responsibilities
Take ownership of the development, implementation, and management of the site sustainability strategy and roadmap in collaboration with the Divisional and Business Area Sustainability teams
Manage the site sustainability program, ensuring alignment with global standards & Global/local organisational goals.
Regularly report on progress against the site sustainability roadmap to stakeholders.
Ensure effective implementation of the Atlas Copco VT SHE Management System at the Clevedon site considering local site-specific requirements in local procedures.
Define and implement a strategy to continually improve the Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Management System at Product Company Clevedon in line with Atlas Copco global standards, international standards, and other relevant requirements.
Develop and manage the internal audit plan and process in accordance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, working towards an integrated SHEQ approach.
Monitor and report on compliance with SHE Management System procedures, international standards, and relevant legislation.
Collaborate with and influence global Sustainability and Quality functions to deliver business improvements aligned with Product Company Clevedon requirements.
Serve as the subject matter expert on practical SHE process application within the product company.
Oversee the project management of SHE business process improvement projects.
Experience & Skills
Level 6 Diploma or degree level in Occupational health and safety or chartered membership of IOSH.
Able to demonstrate success in leading a climate change and decarbonisation strategies with knowledge of setting and reporting on science-based targets.
Experience of leading a programme of projects focused on carbon reduction, waste reduction, water usage and bio-diversity.
Able to motivate and influence those not under your direct control to engage with and work towards site wide sustainability and safety initiatives.
Experience of forming mutually beneficial partnerships with community organisations and environmental action groups such as local authorities and education bodies.
5 years SHE experience preferred.
