Jumped Up Theatre is seeking an adaptable and creative individual with experience (professional, training, or voluntary) of working in press, social media or content creation to become our Marketing & Participation Assistant.
Job Description
We are looking for a person with creativity, strong communication skills, and a passion for arts & culture, community engagement, theatre and/or dance to join our team as a Marketing & Participation Assistant.
The successful applicant will support the Marketing & Audiences Manager and our producers in delivering marketing and audience development campaigns and participation programmes. They will also assist with public-facing events and develop new relationships with participants and community leaders - with a focus on children, young people and families. There will also be administrative tasks to support reporting on Jumped Up's impact.
This is a great entry-level position for an individual looking to develop their marketing and engagement expertise in a small team with multiple projects on the go. Excellent organisational skills are required, along with a proactive attitude, good communication skills and strong attention to detail. Familiarity with Adobe Suite tools, WordPress, Squarespace, and/or Google Analytics are also desirable.
Salary: £19,565 per annum, pro-rata (FTE £24,570)
Part-Time: 30 hours per week - days & times to be arranged

Skills and Knowledge
* Proficiency in MS Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic design platforms like Canva.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, adaptable for different audiences.
* Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) and content creation.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in building relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities
Marketing and Communications:
* Assist with creating & distributing marketing assets.
* Manage updates to the Jumped Up website & monitor engagement across social media platforms.
* Draft & distribute press releases & support press activities - organise interviews & stakeholder visits.
Content Creation:
* Develop digital & print content for campaigns & public-facing initiatives.
* Capture & curate content for campaigns & digital output.
Data and Analytics:
* Collect & analyse data from communication campaigns; track progress & inform future strategies.
* Collaborate to identify trends for reporting & strategic planning.
Event Support:
* Represent Jumped Up at live events & workshops.
Relationship Building:
* Develop strong internal & external relationships.
Administrative Support:
* Maintain media & stakeholder lists & organise campaign materials.
* Manage schedules, invitations & communications.
* Lead on uploading evaluation data.
Compliance and Advocacy:
* Adhere to company policies & act as an ambassador.
