HR Officer Grade/Range MAT Grade 4 Hours per week 37 Actual Salary £22,671 – £24,650 Working Weeks 40 Location Woodlands School, Coleshill, B46 3JE other schools within the Trust may be considered Contract Type Permanent Start Date ASAP About us Unity MAT is a small but ambitious Multi Academy Trust made up of three special schools within the Warwickshire area, these being Brooke School in Rugby, Welcombe Hills School in Stratford Upon Avon and Woodlands School in Coleshill. Our central services functions, including Finance, HR, Site & Facilities and IT have been centralised to form the Trust’s Core Services Team. We believe that this enables us to provide high quality support services to all of our schools and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing HR Team. There are two HR Officer positions available – one to undertake HR Operations (e.g. recruitment, payroll processing etc.) and one to support HR Consultancy (e.g. HR advice and guidance, support with absence management etc.) The Roles HR Officer – Operations Our staff are our most important asset and you will play a key role in ensuring that we recruit the right people and that staff are properly paid each month. In summary, the main duties of the role include: • all aspects of safer recruitment including interview invites, obtaining clearances, set up new starters, on-boarding etc. • administration of the Single Central Record. • processing payroll variations, e.g., contract changes, supply claims, absence etc. • administration of leavers. • Dealing with HR/payroll queries etc. HR Officer – Consultancy You will play a key role in helping leaders and staff to deal with all aspects of employment including conduct, sickness/other absence, grievance, capability, equality, recruitment, restructuring, etc In summary the main duties of the role include: • assisting the HR Consultancy Manager to provide HR support and advice in all aspects of HR work • supporting absence management by: collating, monitoring and distributing absence reports supporting management of attendance meetings (e.g. arranging and attending meetings as appropriate) Preparing and maintaining appropriate absence records. • Support the provision of training to managers and staff in all aspects of HR.
