Where you fit in:
As our Customer Experience Assistant, you will:
1. Work closely with our Customer Experience Leads to deliver great customer experience by contributing to the creation and delivery of bespoke Customer Experience Plans for a variety of schemes delivered through our Capital Programme.
2. Assist with the creation and delivery of pro-active bespoke Customer Engagement and Social Value Plans for Yorkshire Water’s Capital schemes by gathering and recording historical information and any relevant information in relation to the area where the scheme will be.
3. Contact customers to confirm land ownership and tenancy details as well as manage and respond to customer enquiries relating to Capital schemes and Land & Property.
4. Translate Yorkshire Water’s work into layman’s terms to ensure that customers and stakeholders understand what we are doing, how and why.
5. Build a strong and effective network and working relationship with Project Managers in Asset Solutions Delivery, Contract Partners and other Yorkshire Water teams.
6. Provide support to compile and issue letters to customers and stakeholders for capital schemes.
7. Work with the communication and engagement team, supporting a Performance Excellence way of working and a culture of continuous improvement.
8. Work as part of the Customer Management Centre driving the ability to deliver exceptional level of customer service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

1. Be able to see the bigger picture from both a customer and a Yorkshire Water perspective to get the right outcome for all.
2. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at any level with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
3. Be enthusiastic in delivering excellent Customer Experiences.
4. Able to work on own initiative and use problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues.
5. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
6. Able to write clear and concise letters.
7. Ability to manage, resolve and respond to customer complaints.
8. Excellent IT skills.
9. Awareness of the media and potential Public Relations impact for Yorkshire Water.
