The Immigration Advisor liaises with the Home Office, visa applicants and departments to provide advice and assistance for new and existing staff to obtain the required visa. What We Offer As an employer, we genuinely care about our employees’ wellbeing and this is reflected in the range of benefits that we offer including: • An excellent contributory pension scheme• 38 days annual leave• A comprehensive range of childcare services• Family leave schemes• Cycle loan scheme• Discounted bus travel and Season Ticket travel loans• Membership to a variety of social and sports clubs This role also offers the opportunity for hybrid working About the Role Key responsibilities of the Immigration Advisor include: • issuing certificates of sponsorship for Skilled Worker and Temporary Worker (GAE) visas under the Home Office points based system;• providing support to visa holders with visa applications for Skilled Worker, Temporary Worker (GAE), Global Talent and ILR; • providing advice and support to departments and colleges on all aspects immigration and compliance including sponsoring visa holders, reporting to the Home Office, compliance audits, right to work and invitations for Academic and Business visitors. The post requires an experienced visa caseworker with experience of the Home Office SMS system; knowledge of the Home Office points based system, preferably for Skilled Worker and Temporary Worker (GAE) sponsorship; experience of interpreting complex policy; good analytical skills and judgement; excellent attention to detail; strong written and oral communications skills and customer service.
