Job summary Berkshire Community Dental Serviceis looking to recruit a full-time lead dental nurse. This role incorporates managerial, leadership and clinical responsibilities. You will be work closely with the senior dental team and senior management within the division and will be supported by the Chief Dentist and Service Manager. There will be opportunities to liaise with other teams such as contracts, procurement, informatics and finance. The lead dental nurse will join an enthusiastic and skilled workforce with a great team spirit. The service has 7 clinics ranging from Thatcham to Langley and has over 40 members of staff. We provide treatment under sedation, general anaesthesia and in secure units. It is expected that the lead dental nurse will also work clinically and will attend the clinic sites as part of their leadership and managerial role. The service treats patients with additional needs including children, people with learning and physical disabilities and the elderly. The service provides treatment in the clinics and works with neighbouring acute hospitals for provision of its general anaesthetic service. Your base will be in Bracknell, but you will also work at other clinics, the hospitals where we undertake general anaesthetic sessions and in the domiciliary setting.
