Warehouse Team Leader – Full-Time Permanent Role
Location: Coleshill
Working Hours: Shift-based role: 06:00 – 14:30 / 11:30 – 20:00 (Monday to Friday), with a 30-minute lunch break. Flexibility required due to the nature of the role.
We’re looking for a proactive, reliable, and hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to join our clients dynamic team! In this key role, you’ll ensure the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse, overseeing daily duties, managing staff, and maintaining excellent customer service. You’ll work to high standards, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately, on time, and with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
⦁ Lead a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring safety compliance and operational efficiency.
⦁ Organise and process customer orders, ensuring accurate and timely despatch.
⦁ Oversee the unloading of deliveries, checking against purchase orders, and reporting discrepancies.
⦁ Manage stock investigations, assist with customer stock takes, and ensure warehouse projects are completed to required standards.
⦁ Ensure a high level of accuracy when picking, packing, loading, and unloading.
⦁ Report product safety incidents and monitor for signs of pests on site.
⦁ Liaise with internal departments to meet customer requirements and provide first-class service.
⦁ Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse environment.
⦁ Assist in managing warehouse operations for imports, exports, and general goods movement.
⦁ Complete any other duties as required, supporting the overall success of the warehouse operations.
Skills and Experience:
⦁ Essential: Counterbalance FLT
⦁ Preferred: VNA licenses.
⦁ Experience working with warehouse management systems, ideally Access Delta.
⦁ Experience in scanning picks and put aways.
⦁ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
⦁ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
⦁ Ability to think logically, work independently, and organise others effectively.
⦁ 2+ years of experience in an agile warehouse environment, managing multiple customer requirements.
⦁ Experience in pallet network and groupage warehouse operations, including import/export.
