Job Overview
We are seeking part-time compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. 16 hour and 20 hour contracts available.
The Support Worker will work on an alternating rota involving the following shift patterns:
Rota: 4 days x 3 days:
Week 1: Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun
Week 2: Wed, Thurs, Fri
Specific hours to be discussed during interview but hours will be between 9am - 8.30pm.
The Support Worker works as part of a team providing services to vulnerable individuals (including frail elderly, those with physical and learning disabilities, and mental health) and their carers. The worker may provide personal care and low level care tasks tailored to the individual needs of the clients as assessed by the appropriate professionals. Tasks may include: befriending service, chaperone, assisted shopping, and small home maintenance jobs.

Desirable Qualifications:
* 6 months experience in a formal care setting
* NVQ Level 2 in Care or equivalent
* Knowledge of Domiciliary Care Minimum Standards
Successful applicants must be willing to carry out an Access NI check and register with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council. Access NI Code of Practice is available from nidirect.gov.uk.
Access NI Privacy policy is available from justice-ni.gov.uk. Having a criminal conviction will not necessarily prohibit you from working with Strabane & District Caring Services. This will depend on the information provided and obtained from the disclosure certificate, as well as the position applied for.
