• Monitor food and beverage quality, ensuring compliance with all the allergy and dietary requirements determined by the food standard agency UK.
• Coordinate and correspond with all food and other material suppliers, food standard agencies, the council, and any other government authority.
• Must have a good knowledge on every recipe and each ingredient on the restaurant's menus and have a sound knowledge on cooking methods to ensure that meets the standards.
• Ensure that the kitchen meets all the allergy and dietary requirements, following all the standards and quality determined by the Food Standard Agency UK.
• Responsible about all offers, gift cards, vouchers and all onsite and online advertising, Digital marketing and maintaining websites, face book pages and other local social media platforms.
• Must be well IT literate specially with graphic designing skills to design menus, logos, broaches, leaflets and banners with Sri Lankan touch.
• Communication skills and good customer support skills specially to discuss allergies and nutritional facts with the Sri Lankan and other Asian communities in the UK.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in restaurant management.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, dietary requirements, and UK regulations.
• Graphic Design and IT Skills: Advanced proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva) to create professional menus, logos, brochures, leaflets, and banners with a cultural and creative Sri Lankan touch. Strong IT literacy for managing websites, social media platforms, and digital marketing campaigns.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
• Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with restaurant management software for operations tracking, as well as tools for digital marketing and customer relationship management (CRM).
• Customer Service and Communication: Exceptional communication skills to discuss allergies, nutritional information, and menu customization with customers, especially those from Sri Lankan and Asian communities in the UK.
• Marketing and Branding: Proven experience in online and offline marketing, including managing advertising campaigns, handling gift cards, vouchers, and offers, and maintaining engaging social media and website content.
