WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant field;
* Understand the strategies required to motivate learners, inspire their curiosity in Food and Nutrition, the Catering Industry, and cooking for health and pleasure;
* Knowledge and experience of teaching current national curriculum, especially for KS4 GCSE AQA Food Preparation and Nutrition course and able to teach across different ability and age range;
* A proven track record as an excellent classroom practitioner, teaching Food & Nutrition at KS3 and KS4;
* To plan and teach lessons that provide a rich, enjoyable and challenging learning experience for students and to assess their progress;
* The talent, interpersonal skills and range of teaching & classroom behaviour management skills necessary to contribute to the success of the staff team;
* Commitment to the School’s Health & Safety Policy, Safeguarding and Welfare of all students, and willingness to undertake departmental induction programme;
* The enthusiasm to develop this subject and the vision to extend the work already undertaken;
* Experience working withSEND studentsis highly desirable;
* Supportive of the school's excellent staff attendance and punctuality record, which in turn supports student attainment;
