Overview
The firm is looking to recruit a Payroll and General Office Administrator to join the Chester office. The successful candidate will be responsible for weekly and monthly payrolls for a variety of UHY Hacker Young Clients. The candidate will also assist the Office Manager with day-to-day office admin tasks.
The role is varied and interesting, providing an opportunity for the candidate to learn and develop a range of skills.
1. Responsible for own portfolio of clients, operating weekly and monthly payrolls
2. Obtain the relevant information from the client, process the information and send the final payroll and pay slips etc to the client
3. Notify the client of the PAYE and NIC liability
4. Dealing with client queries regarding payroll matters
5. Assist and support with general admin tasks under the direction of the Office Manager
6. Taking phone calls and redirecting them to the appropriate staff member
Person specifications
1. Previous payroll experience, preferably working in an accountant practice
2. To be able to demonstrate previous experience of providing a high quality service to clients, including experience in regularly communicating with clients and answering queries
3. Be approachable to all members of staff
4. Has strong experience working with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc)
General information
37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday); standard office hours are 9am to 5.30pm with flexibility of hours to meet specific work demands and client office hours.
This role is based in our office in Chester.
