Are you an experienced Assistant Project Manager? We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our growing engineering and construction team. In this role, you will assist with managing various highway, railway, bridge, and building projects from start to finish.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow your project management skills working on exciting infrastructure projects that shape communities.
Outline Requirements
1. Experience of working in similar multi-disciplinary engineering project teams
2. Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/Level 4 or higher)
3. Broad range of engineering understanding
4. Understanding of project phases from "Project Definition" to "Project Handover"
5. Understanding of health & safety and CDM regulations
6. Engineering / construction industry experience
7. Ability to organise, plan, programme and manage workloads.
8. Commercial awareness of project change
9. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
10. Primavera P6 experience desired but not essential.
11. NEC Contract experience desired but not essential.
Outline Role Description
1. Control the design process, from planning application through to project completion.
2. Assist in managing design team workloads and the planning of work packages.
3. Manage the design scope, quality, and project timelines to achieve project milestones.
4. Set up and manage drawing issue registers and work package submissions.
5. Track project deliverables against the design programme/schedules.
6. Input into the maintenance of design programmes/schedules.
7. Ensure design teams prepare work packages in accordance with Employers Requirements.
8. Quality control and ensuring compliance with ISO accreditation to maintain business credentials.
9. Define project scope and assist in production of tender documentation.
