Overall Purpose: Fixed term contract between May and end of October. The Maintenance Assistant position is responsible for ensuring all apartments within the Neighbourhood are consistently in good condition. The incumbent ensures that issues are fixed in a timely manner working alongside a team of Maintenance Assistants and an administrator who logs, manages and issues out contracts and work orders. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Carry out all necessary repairs and maintenance to ensure homes are presented to the highest possible standard Snagging Painting and decorating Replacing sealants in bathrooms Adhoc general estate duties Liaising with residents in a professional manner Key Skills & Competencies: City & Guilds Basic Construction Skills (Painting & Decorating) High level of attention to detail Excellent communication and interaction skills at all levels Numeracy skills to work out surface areas and quantities. Strong relationship building skills. Experience of working in a similar environment is desirable but not essential.
