Quality Investigations EngineerLocation: Sunbury-on-Thames, SurreyJob Type: PermanentWe are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Investigations Engineer to manage the investigation of returned products, oversee internal manufacturing failures, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in fault identification, product assessment, and customer-facing investigations.Key Responsibilities: * Organize and manage repairs and returns upon receipt. * Maintain the returns database, ensuring accuracy and traceability. * Identify and confirm mechanical and electrical fault types. * Perform routine assessments for overhauls, including unit strip-downs and microscopic inspections. * Support investigations into internal product failures using electrical and mechanical test equipment. * Document overhaul and repair instructions, incorporating EASA Part 145 requirements. * Produce detailed investigation reports for customers and support 8D responses. * Participate in the FRACAS process to drive continuous improvement. * Act as a key customer-facing representative, supporting both onsite and external visits. * Assist with internal audits and action any identified issues.What We’re Looking For: * Proven experience as a Quality Investigations Engineer or similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment. * Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse mechanical and electrical failures. * Experience with fault-finding, repair processes, and quality investigation techniques. * Knowledge of EASA Part 145 requirements and aerospace regulations is highly desirable. * Excellent report-writing and documentation skills. * Strong communication and customer-facing abilities. * Familiarity with 8D problem-solving methodologies and FRACAS processes.This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Investigations Engineer to play a vital role in ensuring product reliability and customer satisfaction.
