Your Role
and What You'll Be Doing
Working as an Accounts Helpdesk Assistant, you’ll be responsible for supporting our internal clients and processing transactions in line with documented procedures and to agreed SLA’s, ensuring that transactions are compliant with Irwin Mitchell’s policy and the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Taking Credit Card payments from clients over the telephone and posting them to our Financial Management system, 3e.
2. Checking that cheques are banked within two days and highlighting where breaches are occurring.
3. Sorting post and scanning to departments
4. Obtaining signatures on the cheque report
5. Understanding the roles of colleagues in all areas of Financial Operations, recognising the end-to-end processing of transactions to be able to work flexibly and deal with, or refer queries in a timely manner.
6. Processing transactions relating to legal matters as requested by case handlers.
7. Use judgement to escalate any issues appropriately to the Team Leader.

About You
11. General Accounting / Book keeping experience.
12. Proven customer facing experience.
13. Experience of delivery to deadlines.
14. Ideally, you may already have some knowledge of 3e or similar systems, but this isn’t essential.
15. Be comfortable communicating with all colleagues throughout the organisation.
16. Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
17. Excellent working knowledge of Excel.
