As a Technology Support III team member within the Commercial and Investment Bank at JPMorgan Chase, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escalate, and resolve production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, thereby ensuring a seamless user experience. Based in Bournemouth, this role involves providing iSeries (AS400) Applications Support for a wide range of businesses in EMEA, including Cleared Derivatives, Collateral Management, Credit Exposure Control, Fixed Income Securities and Commercial Loans. Your responsibilities will also include frontline support, incident management, root cause analysis, productivity improvements, and support during the change management cycle. Job Responsibilities Provides end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firm Assists in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tool Work closely with technology teams, business desks, exchanges and vendors to provide daily support to various Investment Banking functions by promptly resolving production requests and issues under a highly pressured environment Take ownership in issues and manage them in a timely manner to ensure minimum disruption to internal and external clients Identify, communicate, diagnose, and resolve functional and technical incidents Participate in weekend support rota to ensure adequate business support coverage during core hours and weekend (rota basis) as part of a global team with a follow-the-sun support model Leading application improvement initiatives including Monitoring, Stability, Resiliency and Capacity Closely work with business stake holders and application developers to plan, review and execute application change releases into production environment Regularly conduct stability review with application owners and act as a regional subject matter expert for assigned applications Leading application improvement initiatives including Monitoring, Stability, Resiliency and Capacity Developing and utilizing appropriate tools to improve operational efficiency and actively participate in a DevOps environment Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Proven working experience in iSeries development and/or production support environment with strong knowledge of OS400, CL, RPG, ILE, MQ Series, SQL Experience or expertise in troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques Exposure to processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework Good time management skills and the ability to schedule workload Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills to confidently and clearly communicate at various levels Ability to work under pressure and deliver on time Solid working experience in large Financial / Banking Applications Proactive, adaptive and independent with proven capability to lead a project initiative Good knowledge of Security clearance and vendor product GMI (Futures and Options products) Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages and/or automation scripting Experience of vendor products GMI, ROBOT and Aldon Strong knowledge in Futures and Options products and their clearing processes Knowledge in Unix/Linux environment Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages and/or automation scripting
