Trainee Hire Account Coordinator – Events Industry
Niclen UK is an event equipment dry hire service providing lighting, audio, rigging and video to professional users.
Based: Niclen UK HQ – Unit 5, Crest Distribution Park, Crest Road, High Wycombe. HP11 1UA ( From October)
The opportunity: To be an integral part of our growing sales team, with huge growth potential. This role has a wide range of development opportunities and scope for growth in both position and salary. Often being the first person to speak to our clients, and supporting multiple customer projects at a time, this is a busy client-facing role giving you exposure to all sorts of businesses in the industry.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Provide accurate, timely and competitive quotes to our clients.
2. Keep client information current including addresses and new contact names.
3. Accurately communicate with all clients, ensuring that NicLen UK is professionally represented.
4. Ensure that all customers receiving quotes are contacted for post-quote/hire feedback in a personal and professional manner.
5. Reach out to hire accounts that haven’t been in contact in the last 6 months.
6. Keep a record of customer requirements that we can’t fulfil.
7. Effectively manage customer expectations.
8. Stay up to date with the relevant technology and have a good understanding of the products you are working with.
9. Help build a sub-hire network for regularly hired equipment.
10. Attend regular team meetings to share your findings.
Person Specification:
1. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
2. An ability to problem solve independently.
3. Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
4. Highly motivated with a positive “can-do” attitude.
5. Adaptability and the ability to transfer knowledge with both our team and customers.
6. Ability to comply with the company’s policies and codes of conduct.
7. Computer literate.
8. Willingness to travel and occasionally work unsocial hours.
9. Be a good team player.
10. Demonstrate loyalty and commitment to NicLen UK and all team members.
11. Full UK driving licence (Ideally).
12. Polite, professional, organized, and focused.
13. Able to multi-task.
14. Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Desirable though not essential:
1. A technical knowledge of the products that NicLen owns and uses.
2. Working understanding of the event production, dry-hire, theatre/broadcast industries.
3. Experience of using a CRM software/inventory booking system.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30am-5.30pm (some flexibility).
Salary range: Dependent on skills and experience. Plus workplace pension.
Terms: This is a permanent full-time post. The offer is subject to a probation period of 6 months and a successful DBS check.
Holiday entitlement for full-time employees is 22 days per annum plus bank holidays.
