About the opportunity:
1. Prepare tenders and commercial bids to secure new business opportunities.
2. Develop and present project proposals to clients.
3. Meet with clients to understand their needs and requirements.
4. Create detailed plans, estimates, and timelines for projects.
5. Negotiate and finalize business contracts, ensuring terms align with client expectations.
6. Set and agree on project budgets and timelines with clients.
7. Manage construction schedules, ensuring adherence to budgets and deadlines.
8. Address unexpected costs and challenges as they arise.
9. Attend site meetings to monitor project progress and resolve issues.
10. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, site managers, and project teams.
11. Collaborate with third parties to clarify roles and responsibilities.
12. Ensure construction projects meet agreed-upon technical standards.
13. Coordinate with technical, financial, legal teams, sub-contractors, and client representatives.
14. Oversee the invoicing process at project completion.
15. Split time between on-site presence and office-based responsibilities.
About the benefits and rewards:
The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to £90k DOE. In addition to the basic salary, there will be further company benefits.
About the requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction industry, with a preference for experience in residential and commercial projects.
2. Strong leadership and communication abilities, capable of managing multiple projects at once.
3. A demonstrated history of delivering high-quality projects while adhering to safety standards.
4. Strong commercial insight with a focus on achieving results.
5. Proactive in problem-solving, with excellent negotiation skills.
6. Relevant qualifications, such as SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, or a degree in Construction Management (or equivalent).
7. A commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
