In this role, you will be teaching classes of mixed ages and must plan and deliver lessons while monitoring student progress. You will be working with profound multiple learning difficulties and must have strong Special Educational Needs experience. As a SEN Teacher, you must be an approachable, nurturing, and confident person with the ability to build strong relationships with staff and students. You will be working in line with students' Educational Healthcare Plans and will be working closely with the SENCO. You may need to adapt lesson plans to fit students' individual needs and have strong curriculum knowledge. To be considered for this role, you must hold QTS and have experience teaching in a SEN school.
The school - SEN
This SEN school is based in Southwark and caters for a range of SEN students aged 11-19 years old. They are committed to continual improvement and high-quality education within an open and welcoming environment. The range of disabilities requires the contribution of a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and special school support assistants, all working cooperatively with the teaching staff to meet the individual needs of the students.
