Just like every drop counts, at Badger Meter every employee counts because our contributions have a lasting impact on the world What You Will Contribute: The Software Product Manager is responsible for management of one or more software products, including competitive analysis, product planning, definition, pricing, forecasting, promotion, product life cycle management. You will be responsible for leading communication with product owners and technical leadership to ensure delivery of marketable software features in addition to coordinating with business teams to ensure commercialization of product development efforts. Ideally the Software product Manager will be based at one of our UK office locations in Norwich, UK or Delph, UK. The role can expect around 20% travel to other Badger Meter Office locations. Job Duties: Coordinate with software product management team and technical leadership to develop short-and long -range roadmaps consistent with market needs and corporate strategic plans. Define and maintain epic-level definitions and goals of assigned products and clearly communicate ideas and concepts to product owners and technical leadership Engineering to optimize development efforts Recommend product pricing and pricing strategies/policies based on established based on market analysis and competitive research Maintain strong knowledge and understanding of competitive products and industry trends to support and develop competitive software features to increase market penetration. Initiate product improvements from stakeholder review, customer feedback, and market needs. Present to multiple levels of the organization ensure awareness and product training where appropriate as well as to external partners and customers Coordinate with strategic business partners (Engineering, Support Services, Sales) to ensure achievement of business plan objectives and implement the product training and distribution plans. Conduct tasks in accordance with applicable Badger Meter policies and procedures. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or a related field required; Masters Degree desirable. 5 years of experience in a related field desired - water industry knowledge a plus; Significant experience may be considered in lieu of a relevant degree. Qualifications: Experience with cloud services and cybersecurity practices preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required Comfortable with software product management and/or development tools and knowledge of Agile/SCRUM development preferred Competencies: Collaboration: Work collaboratively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.
