GRIDSERVE is making electric vehicle charging as convenient as petrol refueling, with a national network of ultra-fast, dependable Electric Forecourts that provide drivers with the confidence to go electric, as well as the acquisition and upgrade of The Electric Highway, a network of chargers present on 85% of the UK’s Motorways.
A newly created role to assist our growing Operational finance team. You will be responsible for the financial oversight for two of our SPV’s (The Electric Highway & Electric Hubs) including day-to-day transaction postings within our Microsoft Dynamics 365 accounting system, month end reporting, forecasting and collaboration with other business units.
This is an exciting role within an energetic and friendly team where you will get the opportunity to drive innovation and process improvement throughout everything you are involved in.
Typical daily duties will include:
* Full day-to-day financial responsibility for assigned projects
* Oversight, review and posting of all project transactions
* Daily, weekly, and monthly reports, versus budgets and rolling reforecasts
* Assistance with the weekly projects cashflow
* Assistance with the month-end process and preparation of finance material for Board meetings
* Assistance with the overall projects reporting, with special attention to actuals versus budgets and rolling reforecasts analysis
* Liaise with advisors and external auditors when required
* Close liaison with finance team members and other departments
* Drive the implementation and monitoring of project KPIs and budgets
* Seek improvements to the financial reporting system and processes
* Coordinate and prepare finance material for Board meetings
* Be an engaging and trusted member of the finance team
* Ensure that finance input to the business is welcomed, trusted and respected as adding value whilst maintaining financial discipline
* Any other ad-hoc duties in the finance department
* Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and Environmental and Quality Management System (compliant with ISO 9001 and 14001)
Experience preferred (but not essential):
* Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience
* Experience within the renewables and/or infrastructure sectors
* Experience of IFRS16
