We’re working with a growing law firm in Manchester who are looking for a Recruitment & HR Assistant to support their internal hiring, day-to-day HR admin, and basic payroll duties.
This is an ideal role for someone with recruitment or HR experience who wants to grow their career in a professional, fast-paced environment.
⚖️ What you’ll be doing:
* Coordinating job adverts, interviews, and onboarding for new starters
* Supporting internal recruitment from CV screening to offer stage
* Keeping employee records up to date (contracts, compliance checks, holidays, etc.)
* Assisting with HR processes like probation reviews, training records, and appraisals
* Liaising with the payroll provider (gathering timesheets, updating employee info, etc.)
* Being a point of contact for basic HR queries
* Providing general admin support to the wider team
✅ What we’re looking for:
* Experience in a recruitment or HR support role (ideally both)
* Understanding of basic payroll processes (we don’t need a payroll expert!)
* Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
* Discreet, professional, and able to handle confidential information
* Comfortable working on-site in a fast-paced legal environment
