The Role:
Responsible for the effective, efficient and accurate management of customer order books and the maintenance and development of positive customer relationships.
What will you be doing?
1. To be the operational single point of contact for assigned customers keeping customers informed of the delivery of ordered products.
2. To accurately maintain customer order books through the updating of individual orders and electronic schedules in accordance with the company's processes to ensure the ERP system provides clear demand signals for production planning.
3. To work professionally and collaboratively with customers to elicit timely responses to business requests for information to enable the progression and delivery of orders.
4. To ensure information transfer in relation to orders and products are compliant with the business's quality management system and regulatory requirements.
5. To facilitate and support on and off-site customer meetings, scheduled conference calls and ad-hoc customer communication as required.
What will you bring to the party?
1. Competent in the management of customer order books using ERP systems including the updating of customer schedules using EDI.
2. Communication - able to communicate clearly, calmly and professionally with customers in face-to-face meetings, telephone calls and emails.
3. Able to build effective working relationships with key internal partners to ensure teamwork to achieve best outcomes for customers and the business.
4. Familiar and competent in working to procedures in an ISO9001 business.
5. Must have a logical and analytical approach to problem solving.
6. Must have good numeracy / literacy skills, minimum of GCSE mathematics and English Language or equivalent, ideally Further Education qualified B/Tec or degree in a relevant subject.
7. Must have strong IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
8. Must hold a full clean driving licence.
