Safeguarding Lead - William Harding Combined School
Location: Aylesbury
The successful candidate will work with the Inclusion Pastoral and Safeguarding Lead (IPSL) in the development of strategic safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures and guidance, monitoring and evaluating provision and providing staff training.
Term time only: Yes
Salary Type: Qualified teachers would be paid on the leadership scale. Candidates without QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) would be paid on Bucks Pay Scale.
Salary details: Available on request.
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Teachers pay and conditions would apply to qualified teachers. Full time, term time only position for candidates who are not qualified teachers.

William Harding School is a four form entry primary school with a pre-school for pupils aged 2 upwards. We are a welcoming, inclusive community with a diverse mix of pupils which includes an Additional Resourced Provision for pupils with Speech and Language needs and Physical Disabilities. Responsibilities
* Working closely with the Inclusion Pastoral and Safeguarding Lead on the strategic direction of safeguarding.
* Working with the FLO Team to support pupils and families to get the very best from their education.
* Promoting and driving positive links between home and school.
* Working with a range of external agencies and acting upon advice to follow up work with pupils and families.
* Offering support, liaison and negotiation; and where conflict arises, to act as a facilitator in finding successful resolutions.
* Working with the IPSL to develop further community links.
