Brentwood Borough Council delivers “in-house” street cleansing and waste collection services across the Borough and are looking to recruit an Operational Supervisor to join the team. If successful you will help to deliver safe, efficient, and effective services with a primary focus on street cleansing. You will have direct management responsibility for a team of up to ten staff and be expected to undertake service inspections to monitor performance and ensure that work is completed as programmed and meets quality targets. You will also be required to undertake all street cleansing related operational tasks as and when required. This will include driving a range of mechanical sweepers and specialist vehicles. We are looking for a team player with outstanding behaviours, flexible attitude, and approach to ensure the service meets all its objectives. This role involves working outside in all weathers and you will need a good level of fitness and endurance to ensure the job gets done so the role can be physically demanding. You will be expected to work some Bank Holidays and weekends. These will be paid at an enhanced rate.
