Job summary An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic band 6 Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Biomedical Scientist to join our friendly and dedicated Blood Sciences team at Chelsea and Westminister Hospital. NWLP operates as a hub and spoke model for the provision of pathology services, with Chelsea and Westminster operating as one of the spoke sites. Applications are sought from self-motivating individuals who are currently registered with the HCPC. A minimum of 2 years post registration experience in a Haematology and Blood Transfusion laboratory with demonstrable morphology skills is required. Completion of the Specialist Certificate in Transfusion Science Practice and/or the IBMS Specialist Diploma will be essential. You should also demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills in addition to possessing competent IT skills. Maintaining complex analytical equipment, Morphology and malaria screening. Perform group and antibody check on ANC patients at booking and 28 weeks, Participate in the Quality Management System as directed by the Senior BMS.
