Due to successful tendering and a healthy forward order book, our client is looking to expand the joinery arm business and are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join their procurement team based in Borehamwood and Central London. They will consider candidates from either a specialist sub-contractor or main contractor background but must have proven construction experience with established supply chain connections. This is an opportunity where performance will allow you to climb seniority ranks within the business.

Requirements:
* Work with the buying department to create/manage the supply chain strategy.
* Able to travel to suppliers within the United Kingdom on a regular basis – travel is a big part of this role.
* Manage and analyze data from shipping and delivery processes to overcome supplier and program issues.
* Assist the supply chain in the successful production of joinery and door sets products.
* Find cost-effective methods to run the supply chain.
* Work closely with contracts managers to ensure project-specific requirements are catered for.
* Collaborate with the storage facilities manager in arranging storage and transportation of joinery and doorsets around the south of England, within the M25.
* Utilize Excel spreadsheets to produce delivery/production schedules and track the pathway of joinery and other products through various stages of development and manufacture.
* Ability to read drawings and implement spot checks both at supplier facilities and the storage warehouse ahead of delivery to site.
* Chair a joinery pre-start meeting to ensure the selected supplier is both able and has included all aspects of work prior to commencement of manufacture.
* When not traveling between suppliers and live projects, you will be based at either the Stewartby warehouse facility or the head office at Borehamwood.
