We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Wealstun, a category C Prison located in Thorpe Arch West Yorkshire. HMP Wealstun houses around 800 male patients most of whom are aged between 20-40. The pharmacy on site is busy and faced paced, you will be joining a large multi-disciplinary team and will be working closely with the pharmacy manager, technician and dispensers to ensure the team are working together to provide high quality pharmacy services.
Hours
Tuesday and Friday 8am-4pm
Salary
This position is a part time role working 15 hours per week, youll receive an annual salary up to £55,941 per annum FTE depending on experience

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacist, your responsibilities will vary. You will
1. Be responsible for the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service.
2. Work closely with the Head of Healthcare and the multidisciplinary team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the provision of service meets the contractual obligations.
3. Provide daily expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring that a safe but modern medicines management service is provided to prisoners.

Requirements
11. GPhC registered Pharmacist.
12. Management and leadership experience (desirable).
13. Procurement and audit experience (desirable).
14. Vocational Masters Degree in Pharmacy including pre-registration training
15. Excellent communication skills
Although not essential ideal applicants would have at least 2 years pharmacist experience
