Job Title: Locum Biomedical Scientist in Histology Banding : 6 Location : Chichester, West Sussex Start: 21 January 2025 Duration : 31 March 025 Rate : £ 1 6 - £ 2 6 Working hours : Monday – Friday We are seeking a skilled and experienced Locum Histology Biomedical Scientist to join our team in West Sussex. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional to work in a well-equipped laboratory, providing essential histopathology services. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks within the histopathology laboratory, ensuring high standards of accuracy and efficiency. What will your responsibilities be : As a Locum Histology Biomedical Scientist, you will be responsible for all aspects of a routine histopathology laboratory, with a focus on microtomy sectioning (standard, mega, singles, levels, and cores), routine H&E staining using Leica Spectra, and embedding all tissue types. You will be required to pass our UKAS Competencies within 2 days of working in the lab and use all existing equipment (supplied by Leica) with minimal training. Additionally, you will utilize the Leica Cerebro tracking system and our LIMS, Clinisys WinPath. Familiarity with these systems is highly desirable. Qualifications and Experiences: Degree in Biomedical Science or related field HCPC registration Extensive experience in a histopathology laboratory Proficiency in microtomy sectioning and routine H&E staining Familiarity with Leica equipment and systems Ability to pass UKAS Competencies quickly Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and teamwork skills Why work with Pulse?
