The Role
We have a brand new vacancy for a passionate and driven Youth & Community Centre Project Manager. The ideal candidate will oversee the development, funding, and delivery of programs that support young people and the wider community.
This exciting role will lead a brand new youth centre project, heavily involved in the setting up and building of a key community hub in Stourport. The full time role will also involve securing funding through grants and fundraising, managing youth programs, school partnerships, and holiday clubs, and ensuring the centre remains a vibrant hub for young people.

Active Youth Outreach Services (AYOS) empowers youth throughout the Worcestershire area to reach their fullest potential through a wide range of services. We deliver anything from community outreach events to school holidays clubs and community activities.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
Project Management and Community Engagement
Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Youth & Community Centre.
Develop and deliver engaging youth programs, including after-school activities, workshops, and community initiatives.
Build and maintain relationships with local schools, youth organisations, and community groups.
Organise and coordinate holiday clubs, outreach events, and community engagement activities.
Act as the main point of contact for young people, families, and stakeholders, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Fundraising & Grant Management
Identify and apply for grants, funding opportunities, and sponsorships to support youth programs.
Develop and implement fundraising campaigns, including community events and donor outreach.
Manage funding budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximise impact.
Maintain strong relationships with funding bodies, local authorities, and charitable trusts.
School and Youth Outreach
Develop and deliver school-based programs, including workshops, mentoring, and extracurricular activities.
Liaise with teachers, school leaders, and youth workers to address the needs of young people.
Promote positive mental health, wellbeing, and personal development through targeted youth engagement initiatives.
Volunteer and Staff Management
Recruit, train, and support volunteers and youth workers, ensuring effective program delivery.
Oversee staff schedules and responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations of the centre.
Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment focused on youth development.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting
Track and report on program outcomes, attendance, and impact, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Collect and analyse feedback from young people, families, and stakeholders to improve services.
Prepare reports for funders, trustees, and external partners on project progress and achievements.
Safeguarding and Compliance
Ensure all activities comply with safeguarding policies, health & safety regulations, and child protection laws.
Maintain up-to-date DBS checks, risk assessments, and safeguarding training for staff and volunteers.
Promote an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment for young people and the wider community.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
Proven experience in youth work, community development, or non-profit project management.
Strong fundraising and grant-writing skills, with experience securing funding for youth programs.
Ability to develop and manage partnerships with schools, local authorities, and community organisations.
Passion for youth engagement, social inclusion, and community empowerment.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Knowledge of safeguarding policies and child protection best practices.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
