We are recruiting for an Early Careers Co-Ordinator to join our Early Careers Recruitment team in Bristol or Manchester. This is a permanent and full-time opportunity. The successful candidate will be reporting into the Senior Manager for Early Careers and working closely with the Early Careers Managers and Advisors. You will be responsible for co-ordinating and supporting the end to end early careers journey throughout the year.
Your Role
As an Early Careers Co-Ordinator your day to day remit includes:
* Organise, facilitate and attend law/career fairs, assessment centres, vacation schemes, work experience days and other early careers events in all TLT’s UK offices and on-campus where appropriate.
* Work with our digital team to manage our Early Careers social media pages, creating and posting relevant content in line with Early Careers activity.
* Book and arrange attendees for external events such as law/careers fairs, presentations and other marketing and attraction events.
* Coordination of assessment centres, to include arranging for assessors (Partners of the Firm and other key individuals), internal and external candidates and any other attendees to be available on the days needed and understand the requirements of them.
* Be the first point of contact for external candidates to ask questions and seek advice on TLT’s programmes through ownership and responding to contact in the early careers inbox and through the careers site.
* Draft offer and contract documentation for review by the Early Careers Managers and Advisors.
* Manage any screening and vetting activity associated with Early Career events (for example Vacation Schemes) or for new joiners to TLT.
* Maintain core sets of data, documents and reports to support the Early Careers Managers in their work including but not limited to
o Candidate attendance & timetables are produced and updated in a timely and accurate way
o Collate and prepare benchmarking and other data requests for the Early Careers Managers to review and submit at key times of the year.
* Co-ordinate and produce Early Careers updates to keep Future Trainees and Apprentices engaged with TLT prior to starting ensuring content is appropriate for external publication.
* Ensure all Safeguarding and Health and Safety requirements for events involving young people or vulnerable adults are understood and adhered to as part of the event planning.
* Develop a good understanding of the different processes and wider picture of the Early Careers Recruitment Strategy in order to provide advice and answer questions at events or via email, referring where appropriate.
* Manage and monitor early careers calendar, taking responsibility for coordination of monthly meetings and events.
Your Skills and Experience
* Experience of providing administrative support in a high volume HR, events or recruitment environment would be advantageous, in particular early careers or working with young adults.
* Strong administration skills and the ability to plan and deliver to tight timescales, with attention to detail essential
* Excellent Excel skills, particularly building and maintaining spreadsheets
* Strong written and verbal communication skills. You will liaise daily with Partners, managers and participants from across the firm
* Flexible, able to help out different members of the team at short notice
* Ability to communicate confidently with candidates both verbally and in written form to present TLT’s early careers initiatives and opportunities in an engaging manner
* Comfortable travelling nationally with overnight stays.
