Duties of a Controls Software Engineer:
* As a vital member of our team you will be required to create bespoke automation solutions for our manufacturing requirements.
* The role requires you to undertake Plc design, programming, commissioning, alongside providing support throughout the complete project lifecycle.
* On occasions you may also be asked to support with the robot programming, vision systems and have an understanding of good manufacturing practice guidelines.
* Collaborate with clients and internal staff to design concepts that meet requirements.
* Assist in developing cost estimates for proposals.
* Create validation documentation, including software design specifications, test records and supporting documentation like O&M manuals, software releases, and disaster recovery plans.
* Design, code, commission, test and provide aftermarket support for our bespoke machinery worldwide.
* Conduct system validation, including Factory Acceptance Testing and oversee validation.
* Requirements of a Controls Software Engineer:
* Proven experience designing Plc software alongside supporting existing applications.
* Competent with communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, Profinet, CAN, IP, Serial, etc.)
* Competent with IEC 61131-3, C#, Java or Structured Text.

* Delta Electronics ISPSoft
* B&R Automation Automation Studio
