Job summary Due to recent surgical bed reconfiguration in 2024, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time band 6 deputy clinical leader to work along side the Manfield day surgery team on the new Compton surgical ward as a permanent position. The post holders will support the band 7 clinical leader in the general management of the clinical environment, ensuring that a quality service is provided. They will be responsible for the delivery of a training programme to a team of nurses, ensuring that staff within the team are supported and developed within their role. They will be responsible for overseeing a team of Nurses, Assistant Practitioners and Healthcare Assistants, monitoring their professional development through carrying out KSF IPR's. Compton Surgical ward is an 18 bedded short stay ward and cares for patients under the surgical division umbrella which includes, mixed General surgical patients and orthopaedics patients.
