About Us
Wembley High Technology College is one of the highest performing schools in the country. Nationally, the achievement of our pupils is exceptional; in 2023, our Progress 8 score of +1.40 has been recognised as the 11 th highest in the country by the Department for Education. This progress from Key Stage 2 to GCSE has a transformative impact on our pupils’ life chances and last year, over 40% of pupils leaving us went on to Russell Group Universities to study a range of academic subjects. In September 2020, Wembley High also welcomed pupils from North Brent School in Year 7 while their new £27 million building is completed. The addition of a new school in our Multi-Academy Trust provides exciting development and leadership opportunities for staff in the years to come.
The Science Department
We are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic teacher who can make a significant contribution to this strong, supportive and successful department. In KS3 teachers are expected to teach across all three science disciplines. At KS4 / KS5 teachers teach their own subject specialism. At GCSE, pupils study separate science and combined science. The sciences are extremely popular choices in the Sixth Form with many pupils going on to study science-related courses at university. As a top performing department within the school and country, pupils excel at A-level; in 2023, 70% of our students achieved A*-C grade for A Level Chemistry/Biology and Physics and 100% of our students achieved 9-6 for GCSE in separate science. Overall across the school, our A-Level pass rate stands at 100% and 70% of exams were awarded A*-B grades.
