Job Summary
The role of the eForms Developer will work within the eForms team maintaining a suite of interactive and dynamic eForms and Nervecentre (Ed Patient Management System) assessments for established clinical information processes, working from defined user requirements. The role also involves new form and or assessment developments should they arise between now and the organisations EPR implementation.
As well as the continued improvement and development of clinical forms, the post will involve understanding and assisting with gathering requirements for associated workflows. This role will require the post-holder to engineer adaptive forms for display on multiple hardware devices, utilise and contribute to the construction of form fragments (re-usable data and components) and advance the Trust's overall eForms capabilities.
The eForms Developer will be required to liaise with other D&I teams and Trust staff during functional and user acceptance testing of forms as well as assist in interpreting how best the team can deliver user requirements.
The post-holder will be given and will undertake formal training, in using the eForm and Nervecentre platforms.
Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.
Main duties of the job
* Support the Software Development Manager in the development of dynamic electronic forms using the in-house developed adaptation of the FORM.IO toolset.
* Will learn, fully understand and be able to exploit the capabilities of the available eForms and workflow solutions.
* Will use the adaptation of FORM.IO embedded within SeeEHR (Patient Portal System) software to design new dynamic eForms and associated workflow to meet new digitally enabled clinical processes.
* Will support the eForms Team to agree and document a development, testing and acceptance process with the relevant user community for each eForms and workflow that is developed.
* To develop prototype forms based on the requirements specification utilising wireframe technologies.
* To present prototype forms to the Staff Stakeholders through the SeeEHR (Patient Portal System) application and to demonstrate and explain the use of the forms and associated workflows.
* To undertake iterative revisions of electronic forms and workflows as required by the Software Development Manager in the light of user feedback and according to the agreed development process.
* To assist in the generation of user guides, as appropriate, on the use of specific e-forms and workflow processes.
