An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Asset Management Section as the Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES) & Networks Officer. The post is critical to the Council’s effective implementation of its Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Delivery Plan (LHEEDP) and meeting its duties contained within the Heat Networks (Scotland) Act 2021. You will work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to effectively progress the LHEEDP and support the Climate Change Lead Officer in meeting the requirements of the Heat in Buildings Strategy.
You will be educated to degree, SVQ4, HND level or equivalent and have considerable experience working in a related field. You will have a good understanding of legislation relevant to Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategies and Heat Networks with the ability to research, develop, write, implement and monitor strategic policies/strategies.
You must be motivated and have the ability to work to tight deadlines using your own initiative. Good communication skills are essential along with a good level of IT skills and an understanding of the application of GIS.
Working Pattern
* Monday - Thursday: 8:45am - 4:45pm (including a 55-minute unpaid break)
* Friday: 8:45am - 4:15pm (including a 50-minute unpaid break)
