Graduate Structural Engineer
Location: Lincolnshire
Reference: MR400
Salary: Up to £30,000 + Benefits
I am seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join a successful design consultancy based in a new office in Lincoln. This position will involve a mix of site inspections and office-based design work following the inspections.
The main areas of work include height safety systems (lifelines) that are fixed to buildings to prevent users from falling, typically installed in heavy industries such as steelworks, power plants, and docks. Our client installs new systems following structural design, which typically involves new steelwork from existing structures, designing new brackets and support structures, and assessing existing structures for load capacity. We also inspect lifeline systems that have been fitted over the last 25 years at various sites.
Another aspect of the work involves the renovation and repair of funicular railways and complex Victorian-era structures.
This Graduate Structural Engineer role will involve site inspections, office-based design work, calculations, and producing CAD drawings in line with site measurements and design calculations.
The role will be based just outside of Lincoln, with travel around the UK expected. Suitable transport will be provided as required.
For this Graduate Structural Engineer role, you will be offered:
1. Early finish on a Friday
2. Competitive salary
3. 30pm finish daily
4. 25 days leave + bank holidays
5. 4% pension
6. A small van or car can be provided if needed
7. Full training and PPE provided on the job
