This is an excellent opportunity for a PLC Programming Engineer to join a growing team during an exciting phase of expansion. Permanent and based on-site.
Summary of the Role:
As an experienced PLC Programming Engineer, you will be part of the Control & Instrumentation engineering team, ensuring the safe delivery of control system and PLC modifications and upgrades. Your role will involve managing plant improvement projects, providing high-quality, cost-effective solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing control systems and PLCs.

Key Accountabilities:
* Deliver compliance in project delivery against Health, Safety, Environmental, Security, Engineering and Quality, Corporate and site policy
* Develop and implement the Engineering strategy
* Provide leadership and guidance to the team/contractors
* Carry out scheme appraisals and assessments on prospective projects
* Implement project management best practice
* As the subject matter expert, you are accountable for conceiving, developing and implementing plant improvements to improve security, reduce costs and improve reliability.
* Contract management responsibilities including negotiating and tendering of contracts specification of work, risk assessment, and supervision of contractor work including setting to work when acting as Contract Owner/User.
* Lead and contribute to projects associated with security, reliability and improvement
* Support the Team Manager to deliver the Business Plan
* Must have relevant Control & Instrumentation, Electrical/Electronic or Software Engineering qualifications to minimum HND level.
* Must have a minimum of two years PLC programming experience working in a technical role in a control and instrumentation discipline.
* Able to lead and support projects through lifecycle including justification, design, implementation, commissioning and close out
* Detailed knowledge of managing contractors and have the skills and ability to lead a team.
* Experience of managing multiple OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
* Experience of managing multiple contracts as a contract owner.
* Experience of configuring and programming Schneider PLCs
* Knowledge of the NIS regulation and IEC62443
* Experience of designing, installing and modifying plant protection systems and safety systems developed under IEC61508 and IEC61511
