Compliance & Onboarding SpecialistLocation: East GrinsteadSalary: £26K (£12.50ph)Contract Type: Temporary (ongoing)Hours: Monday to FridayDuties- Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring new hires have a smooth and compliant experience.- Conduct pre-employment checks, including right-to-work verification, reference checks, and health & safety compliance.- Ensure all offer letters, contracts, and new starter documentation are correctly issued and recorded.- Deliver HR inductions for new employees, ensuring they understand company policies, processes, and compliance expectations.- Support hiring managers with onboarding best practices to enhance employee engagement and retention.- Ensure all HR documentation, including contracts, policies, and handbooks, is compliant and up to date.- Manage HR systems and ensure data accuracy, security, and GDPR compliance.- Implement improvements in onboarding and compliance processes for efficiency and effectiveness.- Provide training and guidance to managers on compliance-related HR matters, including onboarding procedures and policy adherence.- Act as a key contact for HR compliance queries, offering clear and practical advice.- Support wider HR initiatives and projects with a focus on compliance, risk mitigation, and process improvement.Key Skills & Experience- Proven experience in an HR Advisory role with a strong emphasis on compliance and onboarding.- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, right-to-work legislation, and GDPR.- Strong experience managing onboarding processes and HR compliance checks.- Detail-oriented, highly organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.- Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office.- Driving license (preferred)
