Job summary
As the Admin Manager for Cancer Care at UHD, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and transforming the administrative services within the directorate. This is an exciting opportunity as the position has been newly created to meet the growing demands of the service as it expands. In this critical role, you will not only manage the secretarial team but also actively contribute to the strategic vision for the administrative functions of the Cancer Care directorate.
Base Location: Royal Bournemouth and Poole Hospital

Qualifications
Essential
1. Management/Leadership qualification to degree level (or) equivalent qualifications
2. knowledge and experience of office/staff management in an NHS environment
3. Expertise acquired through training and relevant experience in implementing administrative and organisational policies and procedures
4. Computer literate with strong demonstrable understanding of Microsoft Office.
Experience
Essential
5. Significant administration and clerical experience
6. Demonstrable experience of managing a team of staff to deliver excellent customer service
7. Demonstrable experience in recruitment, development and retention of staff processes
8. Experience of delivering and leading change to meet service need
9. Experience in an administration/HR function such as bookings, rotas, leave planning or waiting list management
Desirable
10. Previous NHS Hospital experience
11. Previous experience with outpatient clinic bookings including cancellations/amendments to templates
12. Previous experience of HR people management including sickness and performance management and undertaking appraisals
Skills

13. Demonstrates competence in word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentation packages
14. Advanced keyboard skills and computer literacy
15. Able to collate and analyse data
16. Ability to utilise electronic data tools
17. Management and creation of timetables/rotas
