Linux Systems Administrator (DevOps)
The job
To lead and oversee our entire Linux-based platform infrastructure, this role will predominantly involve project-based responsibilities. You will be tasked with planning, designing, migrating, and maintaining system-level software and infrastructure.
Additionally, this role will play a crucial part in the development team's daily project calls. The ideal candidate for this role will be a self-starter who is proactive about problem-solving and taking responsibility for modernizing the infrastructure.
Responsibility
As the driving force behind our system-level software and infrastructure, you'll be responsible for overseeing, managing, and continuously improving our entire platform. From monitoring system performance and troubleshooting technical issues to upgrading infrastructure components and ensuring top-notch security, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining smooth business operations. Your expertise in designing complex, scalable architectures and streamlining workflows will be crucial as we strive for continuous integration and delivery.
Experience
• Linux system administrator with 10+ years of experience
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and PHP
• Experienced in DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tooling, e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Packer, and Git
• Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
• Knowledgeable in containerization using Docker
• Possesses networking experience
• Skilled in virtualization software, specifically KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine)
• Has experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)

Location & Salary
It is a fully remote position, ideally suited for candidates based in London, with the ability to travel to data centers 2-4 times a month.
Starting Salary of £70k + benefits
