We have a permanent position for an enthusiastic individual to conduct property inspections, assess Council Tax liabilities, and manage a portfolio of clients. You'll receive training and work alongside an experienced inspector before managing your own schedule and tasks. This field-based role requires travel across South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse, so a driver's license and access to transport are essential. Job title: Council Tax Property Inspector Job Description: What you'll be doing: Regular inspections of domestic properties or sites that have been given planning permission and visiting commercial properties. Arranging own calendar to ensure that visits take place in a timely manner but also that all administrative tasks are completed Establishing liability or entitlement to tax discount, exemption or reliefs, in line with legislation and policy. Taking appropriate action where reliefs no longer apply. Arranging appointments with landlords, agents, business owners, etc to gain access to premises. Ensuring the database is accurate, complete and up-to-date.
